Ryan and I decided to record our interview...s'il vous plaît, dear readers, don't laugh. I know that my Spanish is horrible and it's also late at night, I hate being on camera...tant de raisons why I shouldn't want to video myself doing an interview in Spanish.
Ce kid is my 8th grade son et il a maintenant 13 ans. Mais nous avons un problème: il ne parle pas français. Au lieu, habla español porque son école doesn't teach French. So instead of practicing my French with him (which I am DESPERATE to do!!), I get to hopefully improve my non-existent Spanish skills.
Today in class, his maestra had students interview each other, which I've always thought was a great way to practice speaking the language as well as get to know the other students in the class. Because I'm also a giant nerd, I made him interview me en español as well while we waited to go in to youth group à l'église ( a la inglesia?).
I wish I could have recorded us, but I'm out of room on my phone. Maybe I'll try to free up space and try again later. But in the meantime, just imagine the worst frespañol you've ever heard with 8th grade Spanish 1. 😂 We try, at least...
